My name is Michele.  I have been riding with the drill team for 3 years.  I am employed at the Department of Veterans Affairs as a Decision Review Officer.  My husband, David and I have been married for 20 years, and we have two daughters, Paige and Emilee.  Our horses play a very important rule in our lives.  As a family, we enjoy spending quality time together, not only when performing with the Drill team, but also hauling our girls to compete in competitive barrel races.

I enjoy riding with the Cowgirls because of the bond we have formed with each other and for the love of our horses.  My daughter, Emilee, also rides on the team with us.  Not only do we get to spend quality time together as mother and daughter, she has also formed a relationship with the other riders that will last a life time.  Drilling is hard work and long hours but the outcome is phenomenal!  Not only are we doing what we love to do, but we look good too!  Together the Cowgirls can achieve anything!

My name is Lacey Chapman Gillentine and I grew up in the Waco area.  My father, Jerry Chapman, has always fostered my interest in horses through his race training programs and paint horse breeding in the past at Chapman Ranch.  We still work very closely together running quarter horses, thoroughbreds, and paint horses from Los Alamitos to Sam Houston Park.

I currently call West my home with my loving and charming husband David.  We have been married for 2 1/2 years and we have a darling puppy name Maximus who travels everywhere we go.  David and I opened Basic Bits Leather Company, a complete retail equestrian store, in 2006.  We recently celebrated our 4 year anniversary within the Waco community.  In addition, I hold a doctorate in Applied Sociology and currently teach senior level Social Psychology and Death and Dying at Baylor University.  I have taught on the collegiate level for about 7 years.  Most recently, David and I became the proud parents of our new little boy, Evan Gillentine in 2010.  We can't wait to encourage his interest in these beautiful horses!

I have two beautiful paints, Bud and Cat, and C.C. a palomino quarter horse, I trailer all over Texas to entertain crowds with the Heart of Texas Cowgirls.  I have ridden drill for 8 years and I was fortunate to be apart of the founding group who created HOTC.  I have found many wonderful friends who share the same passion for horses through HOTC.  I simply ride with the Cowgirls because I enjoy the thrill of being apart of a wonderful group of ladies who ride speeding horses carefully choreographed to music.  It is all beauty, grace, and entertainment!

"I ride with the Cowgirls because I enjoy the excitement and thrill of fast horses while having the confidence to ride and work with other ladies as a team.  The horse is your partner and it is awesome to communicate and know their every mood and emotion.  Riding our performance requires much work and effort, but at the end of the day, all of the hard work pays off with a smile and the satisfaction of a job well done!"

Hello there, I am Deanna, but most call me “D” for short.  I work at MarathonNorco Aerospace in the Sales and Marketing department which keeps me on the road quite a bit.  I also serve this great country in the Navy Reserves as a Medical Unit Storekeeper .  Sooo, when I’m not traveling for my work or for the Navy I relax by riding God’s great creation, The Horse. My first time riding was with my Stepmom on one of those follow-the-leader trail rides back when I was 5 years old. I’ve been hooked ever since.  Okay, now if you really want to do the math, I have been riding and working horses for over 35 years.

Riding with the cowgirls has provided me with some of my most memorable experiences and taught me so much about being part of a fantastic organization.  I have been with these wonderful ladies since 2006 when the HEART of TEXAS COWGIRLS started and I enjoy it immensely.  Whether I am riding during one of our performances or on the ground pushing everyone in the pen, it is such an exciting time.  When the music starts and we enter the arena to perform its funny how all the outside stresses wash away. You know it is you, your trusted steed (or Ratchet), and the rest of the seasoned performers. All eyes are on us so we proceed to kick butt and all the ladies look great doing it.  Now let’s cowgirl up and ride the fur off these horses.

My name is Ginger.  This is my third year to ride drill with the HOT Cowgirls.  I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of such a great team of ladies.  Riding horses has been a part of my life as long as I can remember and I have done everything from English to western to barrels, but nothing compares to the drill team.  When we hear that music and are lined up to perform, such a rush comes over us that no words can describe.  Owning, communicating and loving such a powerful animal is just awesome.  It is a relationship that can't be described.  Not only are we fortunate to have such great animals, we are truly blessed to have each other!!  We have wonderful management, officers, directors and drill sergeants!!

I feel honored and will ride with the Cowgirls as long as they will have me.

Riding with the Cowgirls is a blessing and truly a honor!!!!!!!!  We are a strong group of ladies who share the same passion and bonding a close friendship.   We work hard to create a "dance" on horse back to entertain the crowds and look sexy doing it!!!!!! We are driven by the excitement of performing, & the need for speed.    So saddle up grab your lip gloss and rid-em like you stole em!!!!!!!!  YEEHAW!!!!!!!!!!!   CHIN UP AND SMILE!!!!!

Hello, I am Tiffany.  I have just graduated from Midway High School and will be leaving for Marine Boot Camp in August. Most of my time with the Cowgirls is as an assistant during Parades, or performances I run around to make sure these ladies are ready to shine.

I have been riding and working with the Cowgirls since 2006, when the HEART of TEXAS COWGIRLS started.  Riding and working with these ladies has taught me so much, from improving my riding ability, to working as a team.  I am on the ground crew a lot because of my school schedule but I have enjoyed it very much and will miss these ladies when I leave for Military duty.  But I will be back soon.

Hi!  I'm Lori and I'm married to a wonderfully supportive man named Josh. We have been married 12 years and have 3 kids. Josh has nothing to do with horses. He mostly watches the kids so I can ride. I love him for that!!

I'm new to the Cowgirls this year. Except for all my horse issues, it has been great!  Our first performance felt amazing! I have always loved horses and wanted to be a part of a group like this. I grew up dancing and have also taught dance/drill team for many years. I figure since I'm too old now to be a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader---- why not be an H.O.T Cowgirl?!  It's kind of like dancing on horseback.

I have enjoyed getting to know all the Cowgirls. I'm proud to be part of such a great group of ladies!!!!

Hello, I am Brenda, the newest member of the Cowgirls.  I have rode horses for
as far back as I can remember.  I have previously rode with 2 other drill teams
for a total of about 3 years.  I joined the HOTC's because of their sense of
TEAM work.  When we say "Together Everyone Achieves More", we mean it.  It take
a very cohesive group to be able to execute such a beautiful drill to the sound
of fast music.  It is truly a TEAM effort.  This is one of the nicest group of
ladies that I have had the honor to work with.  They all have been very gracious
in accepting me in as part of their team and making me feel welcome.

My husband Ray and I live in Gatesville with our two children.  I am a
Registered Nurse.  I work the past 17 years for University of Texas Medical
Branch-Correctional Managed Care.  The last few years as a Clinical Educator.  I
enjoy my job, but of course I love my off time when I get to do thing I enjoy
most.......riding with the H.O.T. Cowgirls!!!
